Still remembering with pleasure the great show, The History Boys. Having sons, I especially enjoyed the great energy of the boys. Genuine! I sometimes thought I could actually see them maturing on the stage. I do hope San Diego audiences find this erudite play, and appreciate the superlative writing. Thank yous and break-a-legs again!
The restored theatre is classy, warm, and comfortable. Great job there. I've enjoyed many fun shows here over the years, and I was just so pleased Cygnet took on the (huge!) job of keeping this little gem open, for all of us. Sincere thanks for that, also.
I hear Hedwig is returning to the Rolando stage. Oh, goodie! This time, I will not miss it!Suggestions for the blog name: Swan talk? Maybe. Cignetting? Nah. Ciggies? No! Cygnetnews? Standard. Cygnetthoughts? Inclusive. Swan news? Predictable. Swan retorts? Too legalish. Swan bonbons? Silly. Swan brawn? Nah; can't go there. Cygnet flights? Like that one! Cygnet minute? Hm. Maybe. Yes, that could work!
Please - not Swan Song. That's akin to when "the fat lady sings." It's all over. Nah.

Brilliant! We loved The History Boys! Fascinating, connecting, intriguing. Been there, done that! Okay - it's got legs! Long, studly, shapely, strongly legs! (Oooo. Was that a phallic statement? Ah; nevermind; works.)
Sometimes, a play grabs your heart and gives it a painful twist. And you must find that place and remember. For, you see, I have a Posner. Son, James, 34, worked so hard for the full ride at SB in chemical engineering. But there was not enough left. He now lives on a pension, in a cottage, with lots of friends, internet friends. So much potential, and yet ... it hurts.
Thanks, guys. I loved you! But I loved Posner the best!

Brilliant! (My word of the day!) Kudos, congratulations, and positive words to all the talented people with Cygnet!
I've enjoyed watching Sean Murray's adventures for many years now; from San Diego Rep, to N.C. Rep, to his own lifetime adventure with Cygnet. I was thrilled to hear about Cygnet's early efforts, and doubly thrilled to learn of the restored Old Town Theatre. Yay, Yay, Yay!
I've been excited to discover new actors - David McB and Tom Z. I love to watch those guys; they are always magnetic! I'll be there tonight, Tom, with eyes on you! So - Break a leg!

I live a couple of blocks from the Rolando stage, and come to your great productions as often as I can. I haven't been disappointed yet, and don't expect to be in the future.

It's a great place, the price is right, and the "atmosphere" feels downright cozy and friendly!

Re: blog name . . . . maybe something like "Your Own Cygnet-ture"

Thanks Robert. We love the new theatre. It's exciting to discover that space with each new show we produce there.

I loved coming to your shows in El Cajon. One of the best things I ever did was invite a gang of friends to see Helwig and the Angry Inch! That was amazing fun. And I am so glad you have taken residence at Old Town Theatre. That's such a fun theatre. I can't wait to see The History Boys there next month!
