Great story. Conversely, I was thrilled NOT to have to get dressed up and get to wear a t-shirt to an opening day/night!

I LOVE the details...personal, professional and fun!
It makes CYGNET just a blog away!....and, much more accessible! Horray for you!

On another subject, I would like to know who the other Resident Artists are...and, what that designation means to others. As for me...it makes me very proud.

I hasten to add that I have the solo distinction of "dying" in two successive shows ( A Little Night Music and The Man From Nebraska): 1. third entrance from stage left; 2. and...in a wheelchair!

Keep the "good stuff" coming!

Jack,

My dad and uncle went to high school in Casper, Wyoming, also with Dick Cheney. I think that my dad, Tom Rodda, was class of 1960, and his brother Mike Rodda was three years older. Do those names ring a bell? Did your paths cross at all?

(If I've just insulted you by wildly mis-guessing at your age, please forgive me!)

Well done, Albert. It is truly madness, this show we're doing. But I second that it is of the best kind. Cheers, my friend!

Best,

Aw darn, it's for kids? Not that I can't hold my attention long enough to get through the real Macbeth or anything, but this sounds perfect for me too!

In all seriousness, I personally think it's a great idea to introduce kids to Shakespeare at a young age, even if extreme cuts have been made. Shakespeare is hard for most people to tackle, and the sooner one can begin to appreciate it, the better. Especially if that initial introduction to Shakespeare is done prior to Jr. High or High School, where Shakespeare generally begins to gain its bad reputation due to less-than-entertaining teaching methods and environments.

Kudos to Cygnet!

Thank you, Linda. I love this new cast of Bed and Sofa. The show will be familiar to you, having seen our first production, but there is enough new in it that you just may discover new things all through out the show.
